I have HAD it!

Gah, I am SO sick of being sick...this is the pits.  I thought I was out of the woods for the flu, since DH and DS both had it and I was showing no signs...and I had my flu shot 2 months ago.

WRONGO!!!

I am sicker than a dog.  I hurt, my lungs are tight and I'm coughing...and now the sneezing and upper respiratory stuff has kicked-in.  NOW I can be paranoid about developing a sinus infection, which happens at least half of the time that I have nasal garbage.

My running mileage was in the toilet last week (thanks to a raw spot from an ill-fitting pair of shoes) and this week appears that it could end up worse.  I am SO ready for Spring and the end of cold/flu season and nasty weather.

I'm not a napper, but I think I really need to go back to bed.

Oh, no...stay healthy for your race! I had wanted to do a 10k on Sat., but I'm glad I didn't pre-register. No way will I be doing that, now.

  3. Hope you both get to feeling better soon. We're exchanging colds in our household. My oldest, Chels (DOD), had it, then I got it a few days ago, now Tammy (DW) has it. She's soakin' in the tub right now in fact. Hey... what the heck am I doing on the dayung computer when DW's nekkid in the tub needin' some sore musckle rub down?!?!

    See ya!

  4. Sounds just like here...DS brought it home from school (only he was sick for maybe 2 days--kid has an amazing immune system), then gave it to DH. I thought I was safe...WRONGO! I think today was the worst, so maybe it's peaked and I'll feel better tomorrow. I have a feeling I will be lucky to get a third run in for the week.

  5. So far I am holding my own, but I am concerned. I am glad that you sprayed lysol on your keyboard and mouse... cause that should help :)

My little boy has been home from school all week so far really sick, and when he is sick he likes to hang all over me. I love the attention, but not the germs!

  6. Perhaps I should spray Lysol on our kids! They seem to be the little harbingers of disease, heh....

  7. oh man! i hope today finds you feeling much better (although, with the weather the way it is, today would make for a perfect nap day)...how are the rest of the dykstra's feeling?

h is home sick today- fever and achy. I guess one of the little girls was out with that earlier this week. Man, those kindergarteners are really good about sharing their bugs....

  8. Thanks, sweetie...poor Hannah. I hope she is much better soon. Though if she has what we've had she's probably in for a miserable weekend and then some.

    :(

I'm on day 4 of feeling crappy and no run. I'd be so happy to be able to get one in tomorrow. I think this is the longest I've ever gone without running, except for LA--but at least that was FUN!
